From crisis to sustainability -- Building resilient democracies

Fellowship events

 -

Online via Zoom

Join RSA Fellows globally as we explore how we can shape a more resilient, socially just and sustainable world in the wake of the COVID pandemic. This is the last event in a six-part online event series, co-hosted by RSA Oceania and the RSA Sustainability Network, which aims to build awareness and collaboration, leading to RSA projects

The global response to COVID-19 has revealed the fragility of our democratic systems, and provides a stark reminder of the trust we place in our elected officials and the media outlets that hold them to account. We rely on our governments to safeguard our health and wellbeing, and to protect our individual freedoms. Yet the global lockdown has raised questions about the efficacy of democracy to address large-scale crises without negating these very freedoms. How do we harness the current social-mindedness to strengthen our democracies?

Please note, this is an online event open to the global Fellowship. Please check the timing in your region:
