Shirin Maani
Shirin Maani is the Associate Director of RSA US
With more than 10 years as an analyst, consultant and strategist Shirin is focused on designing and delivering social programs with greater rigor and focus on impact. She is particularly interested in using a mixed methods approach which draws on traditional research, design thinking and systems thinking as building blocks as seen in the RSAs Living Change Approach. In her role as Head of the she helped to design and iterate this approach and scope out the tools and methods for building programs of change.
She was involved in reviewing the design of programs for impact and leads the delivery of some of the more experimental methods. She is also tasked with leading more complex programs most recently the design and successful delivery of an accelerator for social innovators funded by MasterCard.
She has used insights from the Lab to design learning modules and workshops on social innovation, project management and visual communication which have been delivered within the RSA and for external partners like Sitra Lab and Nesta UK. As part of her convening role at the RSA she has chaired RSA public events. She has also host events across the Europe with policy makers, practitioners and the public to engage them with the work of the RSA and build networks and partners in change.
Previous roles have included being a Senior Consultant for a bespoke business intelligence company leading their data communications approach and working in the investment banking sector.
A UK native, Shirin, and her family, currently live in the Greater Boston area where she is indulging her passion for baking, embroidery, and running.
