Frank Rennie and Alex Walker FRSA raise awareness of discussions in to starting an RSA Fellows’ Highlands and Islands Network.

There has been some interest expressed in utilising the extensive geographical and digital communications links of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) to network Fellows of the RSA throughout northern and western Scotland. No discussions have been had on the possible frequency of meetings, agenda topics etc, simply the idea of using the UHI to network the benefits of the Learned Society.

Participation in the group is not limited to FRSA who are employed by the UHI, and we will be using this network to extend the benefits of the RSA to new areas and new Fellows throughout the area of coverage.

If you are interested in participating in (or even simply supporting the idea of) this network, please email a note of your interest to Alex Walker at alex.walker@uhi.ac.uk or Prof Frank Rennie at frank.rennie@uhi.ac.uk and we will look to arrange a date for a first meeting.
