Sheffield has a rich history, a strong sense of local pride, world-class universities and is a hub of innovation. But Sheffield is also a diverse place, with areas of poverty and wealth side by side.
Given the devolution agenda, how can Sheffield maximise its opportunity to shape both what Sheffield is and what it wants to be, and how can we ensure everybody benefits - both in the city and in the wider city region?
The RSA’s new Inclusive Growth Commission is exploring how to best make local economies across the UK more economically inclusive and prosperous, through a series of seminars, research, case studies, evidence hearings and a call for evidence.
We want to make sure that what we're exploring resonates with the people who live and work in Sheffield, and is grounded in real experiences. Coming after the Commission's evidence session in Sheffield, we want your input to help us sense-check the discussion and ensure your voice on the inclusive growth agenda and the future of the Sheffield City Region is heard. We also want to explore practical actions and next steps that you can take.
This will be an informal opportunity to explore the Inclusive Growth Commission, and refreshments will be available to buy on the evening. Please register to attend by following the 'Book Now' link above.
Location: The Sentinel, 178 Shoreham Street, Sheffield, S1 4SQ
