Please join us for the RSA Scotland Angus Millar Lecture, where we will explore the legacy of Adam Smith.

The next RSA Scotland Angus Millar Lecture will explore the legacy of one of the RSA's most famous Fellows, the renowned Scottish economist and philosopher Adam Smith, one of the key figures of the Scottish enlightenment.

This event will be a great opportunity to celebrate Adam Smith's lasting impact and legacy in the year of his tercentenary. The lecture will explore the ways in which the work of Adam Smith is still relevant today, aligning closely with the RSA's core values and mission.

Our speaker will be Professor Craig Smith, who is Professor of the history of political thought at The University of Glasgow. Dr Craig Smith is the author of 'Adam Smith's Political Philosophy: The Invisible Hand and Spontaneous Order', one of the editors of 'The Oxford Handbook of Adam Smith', and has published several articles pertaining to Smith and the Scottish Enlightenment.

The Angus Millar Lecture, a key part of RSA Scotland’s annual event programme, is funded by the legacy of Angus Millar FRSA.

This event is open to both Fellows and non Fellows.

Please arrive via the entrance to the venue at number 9.
