Do you want to be part of a social movement of musicians, educators, teachers, governors and parents working to make sure there’s music in every school in the country?
We are really worried about the decline of music in schools and fear there is a real chance music will disappear from the curriculum completely. We hope you can join us at a special one-day event to explore what we can do to improve access to music for all young people. We want to learn from success stories, consider the challenges and shape a vision for the future.
Speakers include Chris Passey FRSA (Birmingham Institute of Theatre Arts), Anna Downes FRSA (Director of Music, Old Swinford Hospital), Keith Horsfall FRSA and Sally Alexander (Founder & Head Teacher of Kimichi Independent Music School).
We’ll also hear from Rachel Sharpe FRSA about her work with the National Trust to create a new Manifesto of Change for heritage and music education, and Mark Londesburgh, Associate Director of Creative Learning and Development at the RSA, and his work to establish the Cultural Learning Evidence Champions Network.
This event is free to attend and open to Fellows, friends, and colleagues interested in supporting the work of the RSA.
