How can we cut through the adversarialism, caricature, counter-claims and ‘noise’, to understand what really divides people on Europe?

As we draw nearer to 23rd June and the referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU, we bring together two leading voices from either side of the debate, in a special conversation format.

By allowing each advocate to make their case positively, and by seeking clarity on what really divides them – as well as where points of agreement may lie – we’ll aim to get closer to the heart of the European matter, and the historic decision the country now faces.

Speaking for Remain: Nick Clegg, Liberal Democrat MP for Sheffield Hallam and former Leader of the Liberal Democrats (2007-2015) and Deputy Prime Minister (2010-2015)

Speaking for Leave: Andrea Leadsom, Conservative MP for South Nottinghamshire and Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change

Moderator: Matthew Taylor, RSA Chief Executive
