People seem to need empathy now and not solely logic and what has been done before. If people are suffering they are not necessarily going to listen to what appears to be common sense to those already in power. Perhaps I was a somewhat emotional brexiteer to keep me going during the nearly 30 years I waited and more so  in the heat of the referendum, but now I'm a pragmatic one. It's not just winning the argument, it's making it work in real life. I think in time, post-truth will morph into almost truth and finally into good old-fashioned truth again. It has to become fashionable of course.

The article in the magazine is excellent...Social media is changing the landscape bringing information 'news' 'reports' fake and otherwise into our social bubbles. On top of that there are bots and shrills tweeting 1000s of tweets every day. We now more than ever need to educate all on how to negotiate the media. If we cannot do that one feels that society will become more fragmented and disenfranchised. We either educate or turn the majority off from any rationale debate.
