It is interesting for me to see the struggle that many intellectuals go through to make sense of someone like Jung, or of the New Age in general. If you want a key to open this door that lies within the realm of academia, I suggest starting with Ian Stevenson and his work on past life recall. Of course, once you open that door, you only find a handful of people who live in the academic world. The rest are rebels!
