We live in a 4D world, so why limit cultural and social activities to indoor, closed buildings? How could creative or social moments be realised in unexpected city locations? Could arts, commerce and community truly find common ground?
On behalf of Kate Rolfe FRSA, all interested RSA Fellows are invited to join a short and focused webinar hosted by NorthernLight, together with The Revels Office in the UK, about dreaming up cultural experiences that mean more. The event will take place on 24 June at 12pm UK time/ 1pm NL time. The aim is to envision culture and art beyond museums alone; achieving a new relevance as urban interventions and experiences that strengthen social and cultural place making.
The event will be a knowledge-exchange between arts, public and commercial content-builders and place-makers. Speakers include:
The cultural innovator:
- Hans Poll, Director Marketing and Programme of the ‘cultural shopping mall’, the Forum Groningen.
The revolutionary curator:
- Madeleine Kessler, Co-curator of The Garden of Privatised Delights, British Pavillion for the 17th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.
The culture/commerce bridge:
- Kate Rolfe FRSA, Director of The Revels Office.
The ideas liberator:
- Peter Slavenburg, Creative Director at NorthernLight.
Participants will have the chance to share their own ideas with the community. Find out more and register for free here.
