This August, RSA Fellows are invited to the Margate Festival of Design to learn new skills and celebrate the kind of design that can change the world.
Date: 11 - 17 August 2023
Location: The Margate School, 31-33 High Street, Margate CT9 1DX
This Margate Festival of Design returns this summer, for the second year running. It is based on the belief that designers and creative thinkers across all disciplines must play a vital, even radical role in creating a better future for people and planet.
This year’s theme is devoted to exploring how design can change the world we live in, exploring inspiring socially conscious and environmentally engaged practice in Thanet and beyond. The Festival is produced by The Margate School; an independent not-for-profit postgraduate liberal arts school, run by Director and RSA Fellow Uwe Derksen.
This year's festival programme will include talks, workshops and exhibitions that invite attendees to learn, share ideas, and get creative.
All the events are free to attend, open to designers, changemakers or just interested Fellows and friends.
