If you can inspire students to start a business, encourage and develop opportunities for new ideas and clearly explain to students what it takes, the RSA Wales|Cymru Team want to hear from you.

A number of students at Bangor University have generated real innovative ideas as part of their degree work; a number of these are worthy of further development in order to bring them closer to market. The students however are more likely to take the first safe job offer they receive upon graduating, instead of venturing on their own”.

In partnership with Bangor University, M:Sparc and Ponti Innovation Hub, RSA Fellows have come together to support students to take the exciting step of testing and trialling their innovative ideas in the real world. They are hosting an enterprise seminar for students at Bangor University and you are invited to help them.

The purpose of this seminar is to encourage and put in place a support network to promote venture and entrepreneurial activity.

The seminar will bring together people who can highlight avenues of financial, practical as well as business mentoring support. All parties involved have one common mission:

  • To inspire students to start a business
  • To encourage and support the opportunities available to graduating students
  • Explain what you can offer as a service to students to promote entrepreneurial activity

Key FRSA leading the project are Noel Hulmston and Peredur Williams. Richard Cuthbertson (DMM Founding Director) and Kathy Seddon (RSA Cymru Fellowship Councillor) will be speaking at the event.

The seminar will be held at CoLab, Pontio Innovation, Bangor University on Thursday 10 March, 9:45 - 13:30.
