Are you looking for new ideas in your teaching or arts practice? Interested in how the arts and education can collaboratively develop inspiring continued professional development learning (CPDL)? Join us at the RSA Academies' Performing Arts Hub’s Creative Gathering for a drink, a bite to eat and some fresh ideas.
What’s it all about?
The gathering will be a chance to creatively explore possibilities for CPDL that incorporate the expertise and experience of both educators and arts practitioners. As part of a group of seven organisations working with the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, the RSA is running a project looking into the way arts organisations and practitioners can develop CPDL collaboratively with teachers, based on current Teacher Development Trust research.
The gathering will be a chance for you to hear about the project, to share and discuss your experiences of CPDL and to explore ideas for developing engaging, practical CPDL.
Creative Gatherings are part of the RSA Academies' Performing Arts Hub, a three year programme of work to initiate arts-based education projects and understand their impact on schools.
Who will be there?
A broad cross-section of practitioners working in arts and cultural education in the West Midlands, as well as teachers from the RSA Academies in Tipton, Birmingham, Coventry and Redditch and other schools from across the West Midlands.
