The ASEAN Impact Challenge is designed to accelerate the achievement of the Global Goals, focusing on Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities in particular. Themed ‘Innovations for Urban Impact’, teams participating in the Challenge create fresh innovations in response to the increasing rural-to-urban population shift into cities and towns and the common related issues that follow.
A regional programme to discover innovators and entrepreneurs from Southeast Asia who are working towards the Global Goals through cross-sector partnerships and disruptive innovations, this Challenge welcomes innovations with the potential to scale. The mission? To empower and support partnerships that will create impact in the region.
Last month, the Top 20 Finalist Teams from various ASEAN countries were selected and will be going on to the Regional Finals this 22–24 November! Earlier this month, the Finalist Teams kicked off their crowdfunding campaigns and shared their inspiring stories in the lead up to the Regional Finals.
At this year’s ASEAN Impact Challenge the RSA will be represented by Joe Hallgarten who will be participating in the judging panel.
If you want to be a part of this amazing event. Here’s how you can help:
- Attend the regional finals. Because this is where you get face-time with the Finalist Teams in a roomful of like-minded people. What better way to impart effective mentorship than being there in person?
- Be a mentor. Your expertise and time are priceless. Have the opportunity to nurture what could be the next greatest innovation in Southeast Asia on a regional platform!
