RSA Fellow Marcia Lauder has been included by YWCA Scotland in their 30 under 30 scheme. Recognising her impact in creating Borders Buzz, a social group for people with learning disabilities in the Scottish Borders, they also celebrate the bravery she has shown in sharing her own story and experiences on a national level.
When asked what her proudest achievement is, Marcia answered:
“My proudest achievement was being selected to join the RSA Fellowship in Scotland. I was flabbergasted! But it also made me feel really happy. I didn’t think that would happen to someone like me, but it’s good for people with a learning disability that we can be recognised in this way.”
We are delighted to have Marcia as a Fellow, and look forward to working with her moving forward.
