RSA Engage provides a brilliant platform to share ideas, seek support from others locally and establish and develop connections.

On Tuesday 25 February, RSA Engage comes to Reading! This event is about celebrating some of the existing important Fellow-led socially-focused work within Reading and platforming the innovative grassroots initiatives emerging too.

Bringing together local innovators and changemakers, and tapping into the wealth of expertise and experience across our regional Fellowship, we want to spotlight the vibrant tapestry of innovative social action evolving across Reading, and hold space for well-connected local Fellows to share insights and volunteer support.

Get involved - tell us about your initiative, and the support that you’re seeking:
Are you working on an innovative place-based social action project, seeking support from an informed audience? Put yourself forward to take part in this event, before Tuesday 21 January – Find the project pitch submission form here.

This event is free to attend as a speaker or a general attendees, and open to Fellows and friends of the RSA. Feel free to invite a friend/colleague, and follow the link to secure your tickets!

About Reading Biscuit Factory

Our venue is Reading Biscuit Factory a three-screen cinema, bar, coffee shop, live performance space and community hub situated at the heart of Reading’s town centre. Historically, it was a bakery which grew into Huntly & Palmers, the world’s largest biscuit company and Reading's biggest employer in 1900. Their vast factory earned Reading the nickname “Biscuit Town”!

Taking part in-person events

To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket so we can make sure we have an up-to-date list of those who plan on attending. If you wish to register another attendee, this must be done separately using a different email address. This is for capacity purposes. We encourage all attendees who are ill or showing symptoms of illness to stay home and to cancel your Eventbrite ticket if you are no longer able to join the event.

At the RSA, we strive to create inclusive and supportive environments for all Fellows. We recognise that individuals may require different forms of support to fully participate in our events and activities. Therefore, we welcome and encourage Fellows to bring the support they feel is necessary, whether it be a carer, an emotional support animal, or any other form of assistance. We ask that you fill out the accessibility requirements box in your Eventbrite booking form in advance of attending one of our events to ensure that the venues can accommodate such requirements. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and valued, and we are committed to accommodating diverse needs to foster an inclusive community.
