RSA Cardiff: writing the future of Wales

Fellowship events

You are invited to join an end of year panel discussion and festive drinks with other RSA Fellows and changemakers.

How might we imagine our collective future in Wales? From projects such as Welcome to Wales 2051 by Cynnal Cymru to Imagining Wales in 2100 by the National Infrastructure Commission, social changemakers are using imaginative narratives to inspire us for the better.

From authors to policymakers, theatre directors and poets, all play their part in stimulating reflection and discussion about the kind of Wales we want to shape.

As we come to the end of this year and look to the next, this conversation offers examples of story projects, the space to reflect on which ones have inspired you and the opportunity to consider how you might use story in 2025.

Please join us for festive drinks afterwards.

Our panellists will include:

  • David Clubb - National Infrastructure Commission Wales
  • Kate North - Chair, Literature Wales

RSA Wales Fellowship Councillor Anna Nicholl will host the conversation. Anna has over 20 years of experience working in the voluntary sector, government and politics in Wales and now uses social innovation tools to shape collaborative solutions for strategy, governance, policy and impact. Anna was Director of Strategy and Sector Development at WCVA and most recently shaped Designing Governance for Future Wellbeing at the next Governance Wales conference this September.

Taking part in-person events

To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket so we can make sure we have an up-to-date list of those who plan on attending. If you wish to register another attendee, this must be done separately using a different email address. This is for capacity purposes. We encourage all attendees who are ill or showing symptoms of illness to stay home and to cancel your Eventbrite ticket if you are no longer able to join the event.

At the RSA, we strive to create inclusive and supportive environments for all Fellows. We recognise that individuals may require different forms of support to fully participate in our events and activities. Therefore, we welcome and encourage Fellows to bring the support they feel is necessary, whether it be a carer, an emotional support animal, or any other form of assistance. We ask that you fill out the accessibility requirements box in your Eventbrite booking form in advance of attending one of our events to ensure that the venues can accommodate such requirements. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and valued, and we are committed to accommodating diverse needs to foster an inclusive community.
