RSA Fellows are warmly bidden to come and meet Ann Packard, one of the Fellowship Councillors for Scotland. We will hear Brian Roberts speak about the development of Forthside film studio and Jess Pepper about Climate Cafe.
Ann was elected in 2022, having in the past served as a Fellowship Councillor, as well as having been an RSA Trustee some years ago. Fellows are encouraged also to grasp this opportunity to explore creating a local group of Fellows in the Stirling area to meet monthly in Stirling or by rotation around the area.
The gathering will take place in the church hall. Parking is exclusively either to the rear of the church hall and must only be accessed via Station Road, or in the car park to the rear of the Public Library directly across the main road from the Church. There is a bus stop nearby (including the X38 and various local services). Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Brian Roberts, Stirling Council Interim Chief Executive, and formerly the Council’s Chief Operating Officer for Infrastructure & Environment, will join Fellows. He will give an update on the STIRLING STUDIOS project which is for construction on the former Ministry of Defence land at Forthside. When announced some months ago it was said the STIRLING STUDIOS will be among the biggest film studio campuses in Scotland and pave the way for thousands of high-skilled jobs as well as major economic benefits.
Other Fellows who wish to speak briefly about their work or a particular project should contact APackard@Council.rsa.org to see if this could be added to the evening’s programme.
Taking part in RSA in-person events
To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket so we can make sure we have an up-to-date list of those who plan on attending. If you wish to register another attendee, this must be done separately using a different email address. This is for capacity purposes. We encourage all attendees that are ill or showing symptoms of illness to stay home and to cancel your Eventbrite ticket if you are no longer able to join the event.
At the RSA, we strive to create inclusive and supportive environments for all Fellows. We recognise that individuals may require different forms of support to fully participate in our events and activities. Therefore, we welcome and encourage Fellows to bring the support they feel is necessary, whether it be a carer, an emotional support animal, or any other form of assistance. We ask that you fill out the accessibility requirements box in your Eventbrite booking form in advance of attending one of our events to ensure that the venues can accommodate such requirements. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and valued, and we are committed to accommodating diverse needs to foster an inclusive community.
