Communicating like a leader - the power of breath

Fellowship events

 -  | BST British Summer Time

Engine Shed, BS1 6QH

In this relaxed and friendly session, BRAVA BUSINESS’ principal coach, Melissa Thom, will guide participants through a mix of theory and practical exercises designed to boost confidence ahead of public speaking.

Having presence in the boardroom, making a sales pitch, or giving a presentation that captures and engages your audience isn’t an innate skillset. For most, mastering these skills require hours of craft and regular practice.

These moments are all about performance, but very few are fortunate enough to have been trained in traditional acting techniques that actually resonate and translate effectively at work.

Drawing on acting and breathwork techniques, you’ll learn invaluable tips and tricks for getting ready for an audience and delivering your messaging with ease.

There will be an opportunity for a few participants to share their newfound skills and short scripts will be provided, but there’s no pressure, it’s also fine to watch and learn.

We guarantee this session will be fun and enlightening – come along and learn how to unlock the power of your voice, successfully influence an audience and communicate with confidence.

Part of a 3-part series of events at Engine Shed hosted by RSA Fellows designed to boost your wellbeing at work a boost.

Melissa is BRAVA’s Founder and CEO, specialising in high performance communication coaching. She has had a prolific career as a voice actor and coach, working with hundreds of professionals across voiceover, podcasting, live radio, performance and public speaking, to extend their voice and communication skillset in the workplace and beyond.
