Join us for the latest RSA Sustainability Network event focusing on positive ways individuals can make a difference.
So much has happened since COP 26 in Glasgow last year to distract the world from the climate and biodiversity crises and slow the adoption of a road map of urgent transformation and change.
The cost of living increases from multiple sources, especially energy markets and the horrific war in Ukraine are dominating public consciousness in the UK and the rest of Europe. The ripples will spread out more widely as the impact on food supplies is felt in the Middle East and Africa. It is easy to become pessimistic. Despite this context positive things are being done.
This event will bring together leading practitioners to share their work on aspects of sustainability, and their successes, and encourage others to copy them. We invite you to bring and share your own examples of positive citizen and community-based action and to build a resource for RSA Fellows and Sustainability Network members who want to take action where they live or work.
Host:
Kaleem Hussain FRSA, Managing Director at Guidance Consultancy
Panellists:
Prof. Abdul Rasheed Gatrad OBE- Founder and President of World Against Single Use Plastic (WASUP), Consultant Paediatrician
Maddie Booth- Sustainability Lead, Birmingham Enterprise Community
Prof. Zoe Robinson- Professor of Sustainability & Higher Education, Keele University
During the event we will hear from each panellist and then there will be an opportunity to ask questions and reflect on the conversation.
