Join us for an exciting virtual discussion and yoga practice that will seek to deepen our praxis in supporting our immune systems, as well as our collective wellbeing as a ‘glocal’ community.
The current global pandemic has turned many people’s attention to the role of immunity in our daily lives. Through this interactive event, we invite you to explore the theme of immunity with Philadelphia-based first generation Indian American, queer yoga instructor: Anisha Chirmule. Anisha has been studying yoga since 2010 and teaching since 2014 in studios, universities, and her communities. Prior to teaching, she worked as a cancer researcher, focusing on immunology and therapeutics.
RSA Philadelphia ambassador, and justice strategist: Aisha Fukushima, will be talking to Anisha Chirmule about her career, the role of immunity in our lives and what it means to be a part of a ‘glocal’ community. Anisha will also lead us through a light yoga practice so please be prepared for some gentle movement.
RSA US Virtual Salons usually occur on the fourth Thursday of each month; they aim to create open dialogue and a space for RSA US Fellows to connect across geography over the issues of our times. Join a Salon to get to know other RSA US Fellows and our interests, passions, and perspectives. Salons are supported through the moderation of a volunteer to ensure that a diversity of voices are heard. We invite all Fellows to join this discussion to deepen the ways we can connect with each other across the country!
