Bay Area Co-Ambassador Jaylena D. Lomenech FRSA will moderate this US Fellow Coffeehouse event with two Bay Area women sharing how they are changing the perception of what a politician can look like. Join them for an in-depth look at the underside of local politics and what it takes to make lasting change in the community.

Panelist biographies:

  • Bivett Brackett is a proud mother, small business owner and longtime resident of San Francisco. She is passionate about making San Francisco a city for all, with a focus on addressing the widening inequality gap by focusing on helping to select local candidates that have lived experience, not just political experience.
  • Y'Anad Burrell is the Founder and CEO of Glass House Communications (GHC), a boutique Public Relations agency she started 12 years ago. She ​the Founder/CEO of iHealth Innovation, a company whose mission is to develop and implement strategies that improve the health and wellness of diverse local and global communities through technology, innovation, collaboration, advocacy and the arts.
