A special one-off event in Cardiff to launch an expanded programme of RSA Student Design Awards activity in Wales and to explore the design thinking and education landscape in this region.
We're excited to be hosting our first ever summit with design tutors in Wales in partnership with the Design Commission for Wales. This will be a chance for tutors from different colleges and disciplines to come together to hear first-hand from our team about the RSA Student Design Awards curriculum and competition and to find out what's in store for the 2016/17 programme.
- The tutor briefing, held between 14:30 - 17:45, will be followed by a drinks reception and panel discussion about the importance of design in Wales.
- This evening event will be held from 18:00 - 20:00, presenting an opportunity to meet the RSA Cymru team and to find out more about the RSA’s work and projects in Wales.
Please register for a free ticket to attend the summit and/or the drinks reception & panel discussion by following the 'Book Now' link above.

More about the RSA Student Design Awards:
The RSA Student Design Awards (SDA) is the world’s longest standing, most pioneering design curriculum and competition for university students, having run for over 90 years. The annual SDA programme issues project briefs that challenge emerging designers to tackle social, environmental, and economic issues through design thinking.
We work closely with industry partners to develop the briefs, we help colleges and universities embed them in their curricula, and we support participants through workshops and mentoring. We provide award winners with practical and financial support to launch their careers - including paid industry placements, mentoring from industry experts, and connections to the RSA's global network of 27,000 Fellows.
