Hayley Sims
Hayley Sims is Head of Policy and Participation at the RSA.
She has been working with diverse partners across the UK to implement policy and strategies for local prosperity.
Prior to joining the RSA, Hayley worked in local government for the majority of her career, first at the London Borough of Waltham Forest and then at Islington Council, both in North London. Notable achievements include setting up a new community participation function at Islington and leading on the evaluation of the first ever London Borough of Culture programme at Waltham Forest.
A passionate advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion, Hayley also had responsibility for equalities policy as part of her role at Islington, which included responsibility for council-wide equality impact assessments and reporting and at the RSA, Hayley has recently become a member of the DE&I staff committee.
Outside of work, Hayley is a proud member of the UK’s first LGBTQ+ boxing club to have been recognised by England Boxing, Knockout.
