Engine Shed is a hub providing shared working space and a café for informal meetings.
The working space is open to academics, high-tech, creative and low-carbon entrepreneurs and innovators, business leaders, policy makers and professionals near Bristol Temple Meads station precinct. RSA South West has agreed a partnership allowing Fellows to use these facilities as a place to work and meet.
How does it work?
Fellows can use our facilities free of charge during office hours – 8.30 am – 5.30 pm. On arrival, just show your Fellowship card; we will give you the password for the superfast, free wifi and access to eduroam (used by some academics) then help yourself to an innovation pod or table to work at. You can sign in up to two non-members at each visit. You are also entitled to a 25% discount on our room hire rates.

Hiyo Lorraine & Engine Shed- wonder if any patrons or Fellows interested in dependable Energy, might help me find a quayside venue to demonstrate (scale-able) energy, motion and 'dancing lights' responding to 'tidal undulation' (lunar pulse). Micro prototype needs a harbour side capstan or mooring-ring and paved area- with lots pedestrian access (and possibly a pub nearby)- may need a harbourmaster's permission- looking towards May full moon- be great if anyone can help. Hello Lou and Hello RSA Fellow Colleagues. This partnership arrangement is a great idea. I work in Bristol quite regularly and I am making use of the arrangement with the Engine Shed for the first time today. I was made very welcome on my arrival and I am enjoying the energy, vibe and amenities here. Thanks to all involved in setting this arrangement up and making it known. Best regards. Ian.
