About hiring this space

Situated on the ground floor, the Tavern is easily accessible from the reception area and gives views out onto John Adam Street. It is commonly hired as a breakout room for larger conferences or for standalone smaller conferences, breakfast meetings, training days and receptions. This room can be very simply transformed with the use of up-lighters and a dance floor, to make the perfect post-dinner party space.

Audio-visual inclusions

This room includes a built-in 65” screen and Clickshare USB facility, enabling easy connection for presentations. Audio and video conferencing packages are also available on request.

The Tavern Room was featured in Charles Dickens’ ‘The Pickwick Papers’. Dickens himself was a member of the Society, serving as vice president and on two of its committees.
