The Shipley Room is a first floor, classically decorated room with a beautiful Adam ceiling and fixed purpose-made boardroom table. Ideal for board meetings, breakout space and presentations.
Situated amongst five interconnecting meeting and events spaces on the first floor, the Shipley is well connected and is an ideal smaller breakout room for larger conferences. It also allows privacy for standalone meetings.
Audio-visual inclusions
Included in the room is a built-in 65” screen and Clickshare USB facility, enabling easy connection for presentations. Audio and video conferencing packages are also available on request.

The Shipley Room is named after William Shipley who founded the RSA in 1754. The chimneypiece and doorcases are from Bowood House and were installed in the 1950s. For more information visit the William Shipley Group for RSA History website.
The Adam ceiling with painted roundels offers a stunning focus to the room which can be connected to Romney for larger events. Featuring three large screens, the space is perfect for smaller conferences and meetings and makes for an intimate private dining setting. Capacity: up to 60.
An elegant room with a magnificent original Adam ceiling and huge windows which allow in abundant daylight. Often used as the catering space to the adjoining Prince Philip Room, this space can also be hired for standalone meetings or private dinners. Capacity: up to 40.
