Residents of Thame, Oxfordshire are having their say on the Green Living Plan (GLP) for the town over the next five weeks.
Residents of Thame, Oxfordshire are having their say on the Green Living Plan (GLP) for the town.
Produced by Fellows in the RSA Thame Group, the GLP is part of the Thame Neighbourhood Plan process. The objective is ‘to protect and help improve the environment of Thame for the medium to long-term health and vitality of the town and all within its community.’
The RSA Thame Group are working as independent Honorary Consultants to Thame Town Council to create the Green Living Plan, believed to be the first of its kind in the country. The group has conducted series of Drop-in sessions in Thame Town Hall so that everyone who lives or works in the town can comment on the plan, which will shape the future of the environment in Thame and strengthen considerations of sustainability in future decision making.
The draft consultation plans are available in both their Full and Short forms:

We are keen that RSA Fellows should not only have access to this work as it develops, but also to replicate it as appropriate elsewhere. To assist with this we are preparing a generic version, described as the ‘Green Print’ and this will be made available here on the website shortly.
Thoughts and feedback from RSA Fellows local to Thame and more widely will be very welcome and the consultation will be structured to facilitate this.
For comments and questions on the draft Green Living Plan, please contact: consultations@thametowncouncil.gov.uk.
The Green Living Plan is also published on the Thame Town Council website.
