Join RSA Fellows and Impact Hub Birmingham members as the RSA West Midlands kick-starts a new series of Monday night meet ups. We know awesome things will happen when organisations like Impact Hub Birmingham and the RSA come together. So we thought it was only right to unite our powers and co-host a series of event for our communities
The RSA West Midlands team and Impact Hub Birmingham are pleased to announce a six month series of events based around RSA Key Themes. In partnership with Open Project Nights (An Impact Hub Birmingham project to support new ideas and projects using the crowd to help test, critique and support fresh thinking) the RSA will be providing a series of events for Fellows and Non-Fellows to engage with our research, events and Fellows. Our aim is to bring people together around common topics and issues to share extensive knowledge and experiences.
Every month until January (at least) we will host a session based around one of the RSA’s three key themes. We already have a number of interested Fellows keen to act as host/convenors for each of the key themes and have content to provide for the first three initial sessions, however, there is plenty of space to share and develop new session so please contact Lorna Prescott to offer your ideas and energy.
We have three main event types on offer (feel free to suggest others):
-
RSA Watch: host some of the RSA’s free to air lectures from leading thinkers and doers of our time and host discussion sessions after. 20 minutes networking and welcome, 20/30 minute talk, 30/40 minute discussion hosted by a chair. Which RSA talk really got you thinking?
-
RSA Dialogue: Focus on an individual piece of RSA research which offers insights and support for participants to discuss an important topic (A Fellow to lead the session and host a discussion). Is there one report that you want to share and discuss with others?
-
Fellow-led Projects: RSA Fellows pitch projects on the selected theme and seek support and advice from the audience (RSA Fellow or Impact Hub Birmingham member pitch for support on their project which is linked closely to the key theme). Stand up and share your ideas, seek support and test your thinking.
