On 14 December 2023 a trade and commerce event was held at RSA House (as a private room hire), hosted by UKIB, the UK-Israel Chamber of Commerce. In response to the event, a serious disruption occurred directly outside the RSA premises with protesters present and the police attending as a result. Due to the level of disruption caused, RSA management issued an urgent social media post in the midst of the protest, apologising for any disruption caused and explaining that it had not had all of the relevant information about the event sufficiently far in advance. These posts did not intend to imply that UKIB or its officers had acted in any way inappropriately or deceptively prior to the event, as they did not. The RSA apologises for any hurt or offence inadvertently caused to the UKIB or its officers as a result of these posts.
The RSA remains committed to continuing to work with and welcoming into its premises a diverse range of partners and guests from a wide range of countries, backgrounds, religions, faiths and beliefs in pursuit of its social mission, including welcoming Israeli and Jewish organisations such as UKIB.
