Ruth Padel
Award-winning British poet and author
Ruth Padel is a British poet and author whose prose includes much-loved books on reading contemporary poetry, a novel featuring wildlife conservation in India and a eco-memoir on tiger conservation. She the Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, Trustee of both the Zoological Society of London and New Networks for Nature, and a great great grand-daughter of Charles Darwin. Awards include First Prize in the National Poetry Competition and a British Council Darwin Now award. She is Poetry Fellow at King’s College London, where she teaches Creative Writing.
