Joy Madeiros

Joy has worked within the Oasis group of organisations since 2001; she took on the leadership of the Oasis operation in the UK in 2005 before taking up her current position as CEO of the Group in the UK in 2009 and progressing to Global CEO in 2016.

 

Prior to Oasis, Joy spent 12 years with the YMCA, initially as the Director for Human Resources and latterly as Movement Director, working with 160 locally-based YMCA groups.  She supported them from a change management perspective to build capacity in areas such as organisational development, governance, trusteeship, and management and development of staff and volunteers. Previously, Joy spent 10 years working with Marks and Spencer in senior HR roles in stores and Head Office.

 

In her present role as Oasis Global CEO, Joy has overseen the restructure of the Oasis group of organisations. She has reviewed and strengthened the Oasis model of governance, both locally, nationally and globally and continues to build the whole organisation of Oasis to be fit to deliver its purpose of country transformation everywhere it works.
