David Deutsch
Physicist
David Deutsch is Visiting Professor of Physics at the Centre for Quantum Computation, the Clarendon Laboratory, Oxford University. He works on fundamental issues in physics, particularly the quantum theory of computation and information, and constructor theory.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society and has written two books – The Fabric of Reality and The Beginning of Infinity – aimed at the general reader.
The Fabric of Reality laid the groundwork for an all-encompassing Theory of Everything, and galvanized interest in the idea of a quantum computer, which could solve problems of hitherto unimaginable complexity.
