Join us for this hands-on workshop which enables you to develop powerful ways to bring about change in an organisation, community, government or society.
- Personal effectiveness and time management: how to use your most valuable resource
- Theories of change: 10 effective models & how to develop your own
- How to use questions and storytelling effectively
By the end of the workshop you will have clarified and communicated a change you want to see in the world, a strategy you can use, and ways of using questions and storytelling to increase your impact.
This workshop is a taster for a 12 (Level 3) or 20 month (L5) apprenticeship in Leading Change run in partnership with the Democracy Network and Happy, an accredited B Corp training provider, due to start after Easter (TBC), to support people carrying out a change project or campaign through their work.
The workshop will be followed by 30 minutes for anyone who wants to know more about the Leading Change apprenticeship, which is free for organisations in England who pay the Apprenticeship Levy and use it for staff to do the course. Smaller organisations in England pay just 5% of the cost (£250 + VAT for Level 3, £450 + VAT for Level 5).
This workshop is run by Titus Alexander FRSA, an experienced facilitator and campaigner across a wide range of issues including animal welfare, anti-racism, climate change, community development, family learning, self-esteem, global governance, organisational change and social justice. He is author of the first textbook for teaching Practical Politics: Lessons in Power and Democracy (2017), Campaigning is OK! (2009), Learning Power (2007), Family Learning: foundation of effective education (Demos 1997), Citizenship Schools: a practical guide to education for citizenship and personal development (2001), and Unravelling Global Apartheid: An overview of world politics (Polity 1996).

At the RSA, we strive to create inclusive and supportive environments for all Fellows. We recognise that individuals may require different forms of support to fully participate in our events and activities. Therefore, we welcome and encourage Fellows to bring the support they feel is necessary, whether it be a carer, an emotional support animal, or any other form of assistance. We ask that you fill out the accessibility requirements box in your Eventbrite booking form in advance of attending one of our events to ensure that the venues can accommodate such requirements. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and valued, and we are committed to accommodating diverse needs to foster an inclusive community.
