With a new positive duty on employers to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace, risk management of behaviours needs to become an essential element of every business strategy.
Whatever approach is implemented needs to also work for every protected characteristic as well as non-discriminatory workplace bullying. How ready are employers for this approach?
We’ll be exploring the potential barriers and the tools needed to effect this change including:
- The Reality Gap – why do employers’ confidence in addressing these areas differ so much from the employee experience?
- Where and how will we meet resistance to change?
- How do we ensure that organisations are ready to receive the harsh truths from their employees?
- Risk management – where do we start? How far do we need to go to address the root cause?
- What tools and best practice are currently available? Where are the gaps?
Nicki Eyre FRSA: Founder and Director of Conduct Change
Having experienced bullying in a previous organisation, Nicki Eyre, Founder and Director of Conduct Change, knows firsthand the impact of a toxic relationship. Since that time, she has dedicated her career to raising awareness of the impact of bullying and harassment as well as offering practical and pragmatic solutions to organisations who want to prevent bullying, harassment and unacceptable behaviours. She recognises the scale of the problem at both an organisational and individual level and is able to bring her wealth of experience to her role as a consultant, trainer, and speaker, and lead campaigner for Stop Hurt at Work.
Nicki is an advocate of building a workplace which is psychologically safe, with a particular interest in tackling workplace bullying as part of an overall approach to improving workplace culture and wellbeing.
