RSA Cheltenham & Cotswolds: an evening with Roz Savage

Fellowship events

 -  | BST British Summer Time

The Sub Rooms, GL5 1AE

Roz Savage is the first (and so far only) woman to row solo across the world’s “Big Three” oceans: Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian.

She holds four Guinness World Records and was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to fundraising and the environment.

It was an unexpected career move for a former management consultant who doesn’t particularly enjoy exercise. She was inspired to brave the oceans when she realised two things: 1) we are all capable of much more than we tend to believe we are, and 2) we need to make some changes if we're going to live healthy lives on a thriving planet. So she used her voyages to expand her own limits, and to promote sustainable living. She now writes, speaks, and lectures on sustainability, courage, resilience, and change.

Fellows are invited to join us from 7pm for drinks and settle in for a conversation with this celebrated author and campaigner after which there will be time for questions. We will finish the evening with networking to meet nearby Fellows and share ideas to contribute to our developing local programme.

Taking part in RSA in-person events

To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket so we can make sure we have an up-to-date list of those who plan on attending. If you wish to register another attendee, this must be done separately using a different email address. This is for capacity purposes. We encourage all attendees that are ill or showing symptoms of illness to stay home and to cancel your Eventbrite ticket if you are no longer able to join the event.

At the RSA, we strive to create inclusive and supportive environments for all Fellows. We recognise that individuals may require different forms of support to fully participate in our events and activities. Therefore, we welcome and encourage Fellows to bring the support they feel is necessary, whether it be a carer, an emotional support animal, or any other form of assistanceWe ask that you fill out the accessibility requirements box in your Eventbrite booking form in advance of attending one of our events to ensure that the venues can accommodate such requirements. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and valued, and we are committed to accommodating diverse needs to foster an inclusive community.
