Join us for the second event in our Regenerating our world online discussion series, a webinar series exploring the transition to a just, sustainable future.

About this event

Around the world, the idea of rewilding is gathering interest as a way to restore ecosystems and protect biodiversity. When well-applied, rewilding can counter the damage done to ecosystems by human activity by reintroducing native species and restoring the natural processes that support healthy ecosystems. However, this approach is not without its controversies. Poorly managed, rewilding carries risks for biodiversity and can end up causing further harm. It also has the potential to compete with food production, which can significantly affect local communities. In this event we explore the risks and benefits of rewilding, and the organisations that are working to support the regeneration of our places through this approach.

About the series

Regenerating our world is a free event series exploring the issues that underpin our transition to a just, sustainable future – from what it means to be an active “citizen” of place and planet, to how we create thriving and abundant food-systems now and into the future. This event is a collaboration between RSA Oceania, the RSA Sustainability Network and IdeaSpies. We invite you to join us for a collaborative exploration of how we can collectively redesign our places, communities, economies and ecosystems.

Please contact RSA Oceania Director, Philipa Duthie at philipa.duthie@thersa.org if you have any questions about this event.
