Inspired by the RSA’s origin in an enlightenment coffeehouse over 260 years ago, our new Northern Coffeehouse series offers an interactive space to share ideas for social change.
We’re joined by Margaret Dale, Director of Holmfirth Tech and board member of the High Streets Task Force. She first became actively involved in her local community when the town centre was threatened by an out-of-centre supermarket.
The Planning Inspector refused planning permission and Margaret learned a lot about retail from this experience and her connection with Manchester Met and the IPM. This continued through Holmfirth’s involvement in the High Street UK 2020 and Big Data for Small Users projects. She’ll be joining us to lead a discussion on the future of the high street, and the prospects for town centre regeneration.
Join us most Fridays for an informal lunchtime talk followed by a chance to discuss the topic of the day or anything else that is on your mind, in small breakout rooms. Starting at 1pm and finished by 1.45pm, you can enjoy your Friday lunch break with inspiring speakers and interesting colleagues.
