Inspired by the RSA’s origin in an enlightenment coffeehouse over 260 years ago, our new Northern Coffeehouse series offers an interactive space to share ideas for social change.
We’re joined by Karen MacDougall from Frontier Voices. Frontier Voices is an arts-based creative exploration of perceptions of Hadrian’s Wall UNESCO World Heritage Sites and Landscapes.
Diverse groups of participants and communities along the Wall and at some of Europe’s Roman frontiers have shared experiences and created artistic outcomes, working together celebrating 1900 years of Hadrian’s Wall. It's a voyage of discovery, researching Roman voices of real people stationed along Hadrian’s Wall, the European Limes, and today’s Frontier Voices - visitors and residents.
Join us most Fridays for an informal lunchtime talk followed by a chance to discuss the topic of the day or anything else that is on your mind, in small breakout rooms. Starting at 1pm and finished by 1.45pm, you can enjoy your Friday lunch break with inspiring speakers and interesting colleagues.
