Come along to our RSA Greenwich Network Event where we’ll talk about heritage in Greenwich and its connections to today.
Come along this July to our event in Charlton House to hear about the evolution of the English country house. Charlton links the sprawling style of the Tudor age with the compact geometry associated with Inigo Jones. The original oak staircase remains, as do many fireplaces and plasterwork ceilings. This event is part of our ‘moving around the Royal Borough’ tour, arranged for this summer’s meetings.
We’ll talk about heritage in Greenwich and its connections to today, and pick up on the last meeting’s discussion of the 'new town' emerging in the Greenwich Peninsula. In every case, we are considering what the RSA's role could be here. Join us to contribute to the debate as well as to follow up on past meetings, hear new ideas, and requests for support.

About this network
The Greenwich Network draws Fellows from all over south-east London; although we don’t have to live or work in Greenwich, it is a convenient place to visit with many transport links. We met quarterly in 2015 and 2016 for informal networking and sharing of ideas. Topics for discussion and calls to action come from Fellows; we have contributed ideas and resources to a number of local projects across different themes including education, transport, and arts and heritage, because we are a geographic network. In 2017, we plan to meet around eight times, with the intention of achieving some continuity of action on local projects or national projects in a local context, as well as inviting new pitches and discussions.
