Andy has over 40 years of NHS experience as a clinician and in a range of senior leadership roles all based on a passion for patient-centred care, citizen wellbeing and equality of access.

His experience of leading transformation at an organisational and system level underpins a deep understanding of the healthcare system in the East Midlands and the fundamental relationship between economic opportunity and wellbeing.

As Medical Director and deputy CEO of an acute hospital, he led the development of new models of locally integrated care and helped establish the organisation's anchor role in serving the local population.

As the Chief Medical Officer in an accelerator Integrated Care System (ICS) he developed a strong focus on Population Health Management underpinned by a system intelligence unit to bring focus to health inequalities.

Moving into the Executive Lead role for the ICS brought an understanding of the importance of partnership working with Social Care, Local Government and the fundamental role of Public Health. He is currently a Non-Executive Director and Vice Chair at the University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust.
