Kim leads the research directorate at the RSA
Kim ensures we incorporate and produce robust research in all our work. She has worked in roles related to research and learning for more than 15 years in both the US and the UK.
Prior to joining the RSA, she was Head of Evaluation at the Education Endowment Foundation where she commissioned research to generate evidence about how to close the socio-economic attainment gap. Previously, Kim was also Head of Evaluation at the Behavioural Insights Team where she oversaw a variety of mixed-methods evaluations, primarily in the education and youth sectors, and also developed interventions in a variety of policy areas ranging from crime prevention to closing the gender pay gap. Prior to moving to the UK, she was a Senior Research Fellow at the Student Social Support Research & Development Lab at the Harvard Kennedy School and worked for five years in Boston Public Schools.
Kim is also a member of the Cabinet Office’s Evaluation and Trial Advice Panel, which provides expert guidance across government departments to support evidence-based policy making.
