Join us at Conversations on poetry and creativity – an evening of celebration with poets Roger McGough, Jane Duran and Gustav Parker Hibbett on Thursday 29 May at RSA House, 18.00-21.00. Event curated by Sezgin Kemal FRSA. 

Roger McGough OBE CBE FRSL (he/him) is President of the Poetry Society, acclaimed poet, writer, broadcaster (BBC Poetry Please), playwright, and children’s author. One of the leading members of the Liverpool Poets ‘Beat Generation’, The Scaffold, GRIMMS, and honorary fellow of Liverpool John Moores University. 

Jane Duran (she/her) is the author of six poetry collections. Her book` Breathe Now Breathe` (Enitharmon 1995) won The Forward Prize for the Best First Collection. Her most recent collection `the clarity of distant things` (Carcanet Press 2021). She received a Cholmondeley Award in 2005. 

Gustav Parker Hibbett (they/them) is a Black poet and essayist currently pursuing a Literary Practice PhD at Trinity College Dublin. Their first collection of poetry High Jump as Icarus Story (Banshee Press) was shortlisted for the 2024 T.S. Eliot Prize and the 2025 John Pollard Foundation International Poetry Prize.
